I recommend this to any John Denver fan, and those who are yet to become one. It is very nostalgic, especially the title track "Poems, Prayers, and Promises". This album has been around for quite a while. A real collector's treat to be able to add this to my John Denver collection.
Some of the old and some new. He was a genius like no other writer and also singing his songs. If you are a John Denver fan, you will find songs on this cd that are not on any other. A great cd by a wonderful singer, songwriter.
I remember it from when I was a kid and it still is the best. This was everything I had hoped for.

(The Beatles, The Who, yes, NOT John Denver). Back in the day, John Denver was NOT cool. It makes me happy to find that others feel about his music as I do. I was a teenager in the 70's. John Denver was the only popular artist I knew who sang about all the things important to me, especially the outdoors, the environment, concern for our fellow man, love.I want to thank all the other folks writing serious reviews about this man and album.
